Pigmentation & Acne Treatments

At the Jasmine Rooms our aim is to offer a comprehensive range of services that will keep you looking younger for longer. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment is a mature, effective and low risk treatment method. During your IPL treatment, high energy Xenon light and radio frequency current are used. The treatment will bring about:

• Permanent Hair Removal;
• Treatment of Vascular Lesions (Spider Veins & Rosacea);
• Skin Rejuvenation;
• Treatment of Pigmentation and Acne.

Your treatment will start with an in-depth consultation to determine the outcomes you want, assess your skin type and condition and discuss the likely results you will get. The therapist will perform a test patch treatment, recommend a course of action that will meet your requirements and agree pricing and frequency of treatment with you. When you are ready to find out more, please give us a ring at the Jasmine Rooms to book a consultation where your precise needs will be discussed and a solution proposed for you.

Pigmentation Treatments

Treatment with IPL shows quickly visible and good results in this field. The number of treatments depends on the type and intensity of the pigment disorder. The natural ageing process of the skin, frequent or excessively exposure to the sun as well as various other causes, such as hormonal changes during pregnancy or after childbirth or severe stress, can lead to a change of the outer skin. There is a local change in the activity or the number of melanocytes and melanin in the compound layer between dermis and epidermis. These local irregularities are visible on the skin as a skin disorder. The Xenon light is absorbed by the skin’s melanin and converted into heat. This leads to a protein coagulation of the pigment, the melanin flocculates. About 10 - 12 days after the treatment the skin surface can be "rubbed off". The treatment process is complete when the pigment disorder is decomposed on the skin without damaging the surrounding skin. A positive change, i.e., a lightening of the pigment disorder is often visible immediately after the first treatment. At the latest this development starts a few hours after treatment. The pigmentation becomes lighter after each treatment and is often dissolved completely. A treatment every two weeks is recommended to deliver the best results, repeating until the pigmentation is dissolved/reduced.
